Corporate Social Responsibility

At L&M Plus Consulting, we believe that the actions of businesses have a significant impact on the lives of people not only in their local areas, but far beyond; not just in terms of the products and services they offer or the jobs and opportunities they create, but also in terms of working conditions, human rights, health, the environment, innovation, education, training and community development.

We partner with non-profit organisations on the Isle of Wight, UK and worldwide to support sustainable community development and civil society initiatives by sharing our expert knowledge and skills. For a number of years our Founder and Director Zoryna O’Donnell has worked with Community Action Isle of Wight to deliver free training courses for representatives of non-profit organisations on the Isle of Wight.

Since 2017, as an expert in local government and community development, Zoryna contributed to a number of projects funded by the UK Embassy in Ukraine as part of their wider programme of support to the reform of decentralisation in Ukraine.

A banner on Zoryna’s LinkedIn profile page states “I stand with Ukraine”. For Zoryna, this is not just a statement. It is what she does as a volunteer since the first days of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine in February 2022.

Since then, her volunteering has taken many forms: conducting online sessions of psychological support and resilience which were recorded and watched by thousands of people in Ukraine; providing one-to-one psychological support to those who needed it; helping Ukrainians who found shelter from the war in her local area; and delivering training to build people’s capacity to help themselves and others during this difficult time.

In 2023 and 2024, Zoryna delivered two sets of modular training programmes for people from different parts of Ukraine. One of these programmes was Coaching for Resilience and Wellbeing and another one - Healthy Conversations. Both programmes were delivered online in the Ukrainian language which allowed over a hundred of participants to attend each one of them.

This online training was organised by our Ukrainian partner, the charity called “Library Country”, as part of their project “Healthy Libraries” funded by the Ukrainian-Swiss project “Act for Health”.

When asked what participants liked the most about these training programmes, they wrote:

“It was one of the best trainings I have ever participated in. It is difficult to say what I liked most, because I liked everything: the organisation of the event (timely information, schedule, regular short breaks during classes), practices, models and tools.”

“This training was a charge of positive emotions, new experience and self-discovery for me. It was extremely productive, informative, useful and interesting.”

“Zoryna is a very strong and attentive trainer who has prepared a high-quality and thorough course. The materials she shared will allow me not only to get an idea of the coaching process and models, but also to delve deep into study.”

“Great presentation of material and interactive practical exercises. After the coaching training, you can simply start practising.”

“Thank you very much for such a good opportunity to engage in healthy conversations and for the motivation to continue them in our community. Also, for the folder of materials, thank you very much!!! When there is so much ready-made material, you can do a lot of useful things for people, especially at such a difficult time.”

“On behalf of “The Library Country” Foundation, and personally from me, please accept our deep appreciation for your work, support and understanding. Our project really benefited from your participation and all the participants of our events, including me, obtained new useful knowledge and expanded their point of view on many things. Some 35 participants attended the event in Terebovlya and 65 in Kyiv. Also we have already more than 1000 views of the event at Facebook. I hope that we will keep in touch for other projects and initiatives in the future.”

Testimonials

“Hi Zoryna. Just a small note to say a big thank you to you for being our guest speaker earlier today. Your presentation was very well received, with much positive and complimentary feedback from those present. I trust that you enjoyed the session also. A number of guests requested your handout following the session, which I have sent to them and I am sure from this some may well be in touch with you. The event has been posted on LinkedIn and received a high levels of views and comments, some of which I know you have kindly replied to. Once again, thank you for bringing your knowledge insight and expertise to the group.”

Zoryna was entertaining and connected and engaged with the audience throughout her presentation which was extremely well presented. Her presentation was thought provoking and all attendees were full of praise and enthusiasm for her message afterwards.”
